- conserves indigenous trees and knowledge about use of medicinal plants
- collects and distributes non hybrid/non GM seeds
- is powered completely with renewable energy – solar, wind and biogas
- incorporates a water harvest system that provides sufficient water for domestic and agricultural use and for the surrounding community
- demonstrates low cost, functional passive energy houses and structures made with natural materials using ancient and innovative techniques
- helps the surrounding community and individuals to define and reach their development goals and visions
- establishes income generating activities that involve the community through labor, education and various profit sharing schemes
